Great shoot for the CBGS crew today

After the 16” of snow and single digit temps have officially put all the bears to bed for the winter, the CBGS crew was able to score on some bucks during muzzleloader season.

Deadline to apply for Bear is December 10th. Reminder that if you haven’t already made arrangements with us, we are booked for 2026 and nearly booked for 2027.

Reminder that Deadline to apply is Decmber 10th. I am nearly booked up for both the 2026 and 2027 seasons. Be sure to talk to me first if you havent already if you are considering these years. It will most likely take a minimum of 11 preference points to draw a harvest tag.

If anyone’s bait hunt in Zone A did not go as you thought it would. Please reach out to us as we went 5 for 6 in 2 days and filled tag 6 on day 4. Still have many good baits that have not been hunted yet. Northern Bayfield and Ashland county.

Once we got all our hunters out Borki, Christine and I did some exploring and found Wisconsin’s most northern-most point on the mainland. What a gorgeous place we get to live and hunt.

This is one of our greatest prides as bear baiters with the Chingo Family running a 90% success rate over last 19 years in a zone that averages 20% success rate in Minnesota. (PS We do not guide in Minnesota, just our own personal family)
