A borrowed phrase - Something you may not know;

Based on vintage advertisements from around 1910,
"Ed" in Cycles Ed, a French bicycle brand, generally refers to a personal name, likely Édouard. In that era,
French bicycles were frequently named after their founders, inventors, or local authorized sellers, often abbreviated to a friendly or punchy moniker like "Ed".

Brand Context: The brand was often advertised in the early 20th century, with posters describing them as "elegant, graceful, and sturdy".

Historical Usage: A blank banner at the bottom of these antique posters was traditionally used by local vendors to signpost their specific shop, suggesting "Ed" was the brand name, not an acronym.

Common French Usage: In French, Ed is a common abbreviation or shortening of the name Édouard.

“Alien Head” suspension pivot. Made here in the shop by hand, lathe, mill. All manual machines.

This will be the 4th version of the original design from back in 2000. But with a significant alternation in sus action. Once its ready for trials I’ve got a test dummy to pilot the beast.

Stay tuned - 😉

Well normally you might go to Granger, McMaster-Carr, or somewhere simulair.

But if what you want is not what they can provide, you could just come here. We needed an extreamly thin headed bolt to captavate a brearing. No side thrust load involved so that's not a problem. A simple flat head bolt turned down to the 8mm bearing bore works just fine. You could use a standard socket head bolt as well, but the flat head provides a larger fl**ge diameter.

So when/if you need something like this let me know -
