Rise Martial Arts provides full after school and summer camp program along with evening martial arts

At Rise Martial Arts, we offer a warm & safe environment that supports learning and personal growth. Through the use of martial arts, we help our students develop their leadership skills, self-discipline and good physical and mental health. We focus on helping our students rise to be their best and develop the confidence to take chances and be their best!

Hands-on self defense techniques were the focus last week! 🖐️🙅

This week, students worked with partners to practice getting out of grabs using self defense techniques. These drills help students learn how to stay calm, react quickly, and use proper technique while building confidence and awareness.💭🧐

We’ve had an amazing August at Rise! We’re getting ready for school by having some fun! There will be plenty of time to be serious, but we want to enjoy the last of what summer has to offer. 😎🌊🏄

🌋🏝️ We survived VOLCANO ISLAND WEEK… and thankfully, no campers got lost in the lava! 🔥

This week our campers escaped to island life for a little relaxation, a lot of fun, and just enough volcanic activity to keep everyone on their toes! 🌺🌊

Here’s a recap of our week in paradise…

🛼🌴 Rolled into island time with a field trip to Ashland Skateland!
🧊☀️ Cooled off from the volcanic heat at the Twin Hickory Park Splash Pad!
🌋🎨 Built our very own volcanoes and got creative with island-themed crafts.
🏝️🎯 Took on tropical games and challenges inspired by life on the Volcano Island!
🎶🕺 Turned up the island vibes with our Friday DJ and danced our way into the weekend!
🥋🌺 And, of course, squeezed in plenty of Taekwondo between our tropical adventures!

From relaxing in paradise to escaping an active volcano, our campers made the most of every minute on the island! 🌋😎 It was the perfect mix of tropical fun, creativity, and a little bit of chaos.

🔀🎉 Stay tuned for next week: CAMP REMIX! We’re mixing things up and bringing back a little bit of EVERYTHING from this summer. Some camper favorites, familiar challenges, and plenty of surprises are headed back to Rise for one final remix! 🎶🥋

🤪💥 If you thought summer camp couldn’t get any crazier… welcome to CAMP MAYHEM! 🌪️

This week was all about organized chaos—the kind where things got messy, silly, and a little unpredictable, but somehow it all worked! 😂

Here’s some of the MAYHEM our campers got into…

🌳Caused a little (organized) chaos at Crump Park!
🤸Bounced, flipped, and jumped into the madness at Surge Trampoline Park!
🫧Got completely covered in bubbles during our Foam Party!
🧪Mixed up some seriously slimy creations!
🥧👨‍🍳 Made some pies—and tried our best to keep the mess under control!
🎨🌪️ Took on chaotic games, crazy crafts, and challenges where sometimes the only rule was to expect the unexpected!

Camp Mayhem gave us plenty of messes to clean up, but even more laughs and memories to look back on! ❤️ Sometimes a little chaos is exactly what summer camp needs!

🌋🏝️ Next week, things are HEATING UP for VOLCANO ISLAND WEEK! Get ready for a tropical adventure filled with eruptions, island fun, and plenty more summer camp memories! 🔥🌺

Wow! Tournament Month is officially done! 😁We had an AMAZING month! 🏅
