Thank You, Coach Sizemore

Join us in celebrating and thanking Coach Eddie Sizemore for an incredible tenure as the Ashland Blazer Head Tennis Coach.
From 2001 to 2026, Coach Sizemore led the Boys Tennis program with excellence, guiding his teams to 18 Regional Championships and 6 appearances in the KHSAA Final Four—a remarkable legacy of success and consistency. His impact extended beyond the Boys program as well. Coach Sizemore dedicated countless years as an assistant with the Girls team and served as Head Girls Tennis Coach for 8 seasons, where his teams captured 5 Regional Championships. More than the wins and titles, Coach Eddie Sizemore has made a lasting impact on the student-athletes he coached—instilling discipline, sportsmanship, and pride in representing Ashland Blazer High School.

Thank you, Coach Sizemore, for your dedication, leadership, and the standard of excellence you brought to our tennis programs. Your legacy will continue to inspire for years to come.

On behalf of Ashland Blazer Athletics, we would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Coach Shane Marushi for his dedication and leadership as Head Baseball Coach at Ashland Blazer High School.
Over the past four years, his commitment to the baseball program, his student-athletes, and the Ashland Independent School District has not gone unnoticed. Coach’s efforts have helped build a strong foundation, and it is clear that the program is in excellent shape because of his hard work, passion, and perseverance. We are especially appreciative of the professionalism and care Coach has shown throughout his tenure, as well as his willingness to support a smooth transition as he moves on from this role. While we are certainly saddened to see him step away, we respect his decision and wish him nothing but the very best in his future endeavors. Coach Marushi’s impact on Ashland Baseball and the broader school community will be lasting, and he will always be a valued part of Blazer Athletics. We thank Coach Marushi for all he has done for Ashland Baseball. We wish you all the continued success and fulfillment in the years ahead.
