Starting April 28th we will be taking a deep dive into the fundamental movements of Kettlebell Training and we want you to join us.

For 8 weeks we will be learning the “big 6” movements and incorporating them into workouts that will increase your strength, improve your conditioning and even help you gain some mobility.

These sessions will be in a small group setting with plenty of personal attention to your form and experience.

If you are interested in this course or style of training please reach out. We’ll be running this program periodically, so if it doesn’t work this time around, we’ll get you on the list for the next one!

What’s your favorite way to press?

These five variations greatly change the demand on the shoulder, core and glutes. I might be able to push press (slide 2) a weight several times but that rep count goes down significantly on the same weight while kneeling and may even go to zero in a Z press (last slide)

The half kneeling press may be my favorite but they all have their place in the program.

I currently have openings for some early morning and early afternoon 1:1 or small group strength training folks. Also, if you’re feeling stagnant in your Jiu Jitsu game some private sessions could unlock that next level. Bring a training partner and split the price.

Happy December everyone! We wanted to share the updated schedule for our group fitness classes at Impact Training (our next door fitness space). Coach Alena’s afternoon & Saturday morning classes are cancelled for the time being while we reformat a few things. Morning strength and mobility classes are still currently happening Monday-Friday with Coach Dan!

A friendly reminder that all AHA members are welcome to attend any classes on the Impact Training schedule and use the gym space for your personal workouts anytime classes are not happening. *Kids under 16 must have adult supervision. Please let us know if you have any questions regarding classes, the gym space, etc. We are here to help and hope to see you in class soon!

**Saturday’s classes have been updated!**
- The Move Well, Move Strong strength class is moving to 9am! Come start the weekend strong with us💪
- NEW Women’s Jiu-Jitsu class at 11am

All members are invited to all of the classes on both schedules! Members also have 24/7 access to the building in order to workout on a schedule that makes sense for them.

If you are not currently a member please come by for a free week of training to try out the variety of classes we have to offer. We also offer punch cards.

Impact Training Class descriptions:

Move Well/Move Strong:
This is a 45-minute strength and mobility class. We use bodyweight, kettlebells, mobility training, and more to help you achieve a level of fitness that will benefit your daily life and improve your performance in your favorite activities. Classes are adaptable to meet the needs of all experience levels.

Preventative Maintenance:
This 30-minute class is all about creating more mobility and stability of frequently injured or irritated areas of the body. By utilizing purposeful movements and smart resistance training, we will target the entire kinetic chain to improve both mobility and stability. This class is perfect for weekend warriors, aging athletes, or anyone who experiences the effects of repetitive motion or inactivity.
