When deciding on a fundraiser, to help a small elementary school close the gap with unfunded mandates and the like, you can choose cookie dough, candy bars, catalogs filled with trinkets (all of which I love) and the like. But imagine how awesome it will be to have a 5K in the same community as the school. The way that the community, far and near, will come together is exciting! Woodfin students a

nd staff will begin training months in advance, and the learning opportunities will be endless. Woodfin Elementary School is excited to host the Woodfin 5K each year. The proceeds from this race will be used to fund literacy & healthy living programs at Woodfin Elementary school, in addition to other community service programs. This is a family-friendly race, which we hope will encourage healthy choices for the whole family.
