Sophomore Banksley Plemmons shot a 37 (one over par) at Asheville Municipal Golf Course on Monday, Aug. 24, setting the record-low school score for Smoky Mountain Women’s Golf, according to former Herald writer Carey Phillips and Head Coach Wes Plemmons.

“Banksley is only a second-year player but is super excited to see what her future in golf holds,” said Wes Plemmons.

Banksley had three birdies, four bogeys and two pars, totaling her one-over-par score.

We are excited to announce we will be hosting a Fall PGA Junior League for ages13 & under. This program is designed to allow juniors to play in a fun, team-oriented format. All practices and matches will be on Thursdays starting August 24 and will run until Oct.8. The times will be from 4:30-6:00. Cost is $380 plus the processing fee.
