Baby Steps Dance Asheville Baby Steps offers dance and movement class for you and your baby! Join us for our parent/toddler classes and babywearing dance jams!

Baby Steps dance classes were created out of my passion for dance, teaching and my new role in life as a mom. I grew up studying ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop and modern dance, and went on to receive my B.F.A in Dance Performance at Jacksonville University in Florida. From there I trained, taught and competed in Ballroom dance before returning to my hometown of Boston to teach children's dance full t

ime. In the summer of 2015 my husband and I decided to ditch the snow and harsh winters of the north and moved to Asheville! I continued my love of teaching by running dance and movement classes in after school programs for a few local schools. Once our sweet son Benjamin was born, I knew I wanted a way to continue teaching without spending too much time away from him...and that's how Baby Steps was born! You don't need to have any dance experience to join in on the Baby Steps classes, just a positive spirit and desire to connect with yourself, your baby and other moms! Its all about dance, play and love! I look forward to dancing with you and your sweet babes!

Hi friends! I know its been a long time since we
have danced together, and I see your inquiries about baby and toddler dance classes for the Spring/Summer seasons. Right now, I don't have plans to host Baby Boogie or Big Kid Boogie for the time being. I returned to full time work supporting the arts this past Fall, and I'm still finding the balance between this new position and time with my young children and family. Baby Steps Dance Asheville has been such an incredible experience since our classes started back in 2017, and I am forever grateful to the community, memories and friendships we built together. Thank you for all of your support over the years and for sharing your families! While we won't be dancing together right now, you never know what the future will bring! Until then, enjoy your little ones and keep dancing ❤️
