This Friday evening at the Landing! This would be an incredible date!
Join us as we celebrate the release of balm.’s first album, “how is your heart?”
balm. is a solo loopstation based project from Rachel Waterhouse (frontwoman/lead vocalist/keyboardist/ songwriter for Sister Ivy) that features long-form, lush loops of haunting vocals and complex keyboard textures over persistent bass lines and live-looped beats. Labelled as “dark enya” on one or more occasion, as well as “lo-fi with dank vocals”, balm. takes audiences on a quest to feel all their feelings and soothe their most wounded inner parts.
For this extra special album release, balm. will be joined by special musical guests featured on the album, as well as by dancers and flow artists that have been implemental to the music’s development.
