We took mountains, waterfalls, forests and a few familiar places — brought them indoors, turned down the lights, and let things get a little strange.

Nine holes and a whole different way to wander through the mountains.

It starts with inspiration. Then imagination takes over.
Looking Glass Falls has been inspiring visitors to Western North Carolina for generations.
For Hole 7, that inspiration became an idea. The idea became construction. Then came light, water, and a little transformation.
Until something inspired by the Blue Ridge became something entirely its own.
Now all that's left is the recreation.

There's nothing quite like driving the Linn Cove Viaduct.
Curving around Grandfather Mountain, it's one of those stretches of the Blue Ridge Parkway where the road itself becomes part of the view.
So naturally, we had to put our own spin on it.

How many folks have lived in these mountains their whole lives and ain't never seen a hellbender?
They're out there — hiding under rocks and beneath the cold, clear waters of our mountain streams — but catching a glimpse of one isn't exactly easy.
At Blue Ridge Putt-Way, we've made it a little easier.
Follow Hellbender Trail to Hole 6 and you'll find one of Western North Carolina's strangest residents hiding along the course.
You might spend a lifetime in the mountains without spotting one in the wild.
But you can always find one at the Putt-Way.

Things change when you get a little elevation.
At 6,684 feet, Mount Mitchell is the highest point east of the Mississippi River.
So when we brought Mount Mitchell to Blue Ridge Putt-Way, there was really only one place it could go:
UP!
Hole 3 takes you to the highest point on the course — because whether you're traveling through the Blue Ridge or putting your way through it, once you get up in elevation, things change.

Hey everyone, we apologize if we have not been updating our status as frequently as perhaps necessary. We have been working hard all Summer trying to get open but we still have some hurdles to maneuver before getting the green light from the permitting office and as a result we are not able to provide a clear and definitive opening date. However, we are getting close! Please know we will announce it from the mountaintops soon as we are able. Until then stay tuned. We are as eager as you are!
