Never joined a Zoom call like this before? You’re probably not the only one. 💗

Maybe you’re wondering:

* What if I don’t know anyone?
* What if I’m behind in the reading?
* What if I just want to listen?
* What if it feels awkward?

That’s exactly why we’re keeping these WINS Celebration Calls simple, warm, and easy to join.

You don’t have to be caught up.
You don’t have to say the perfect thing.
You don’t have to come with pressure.

Just come as you are, listen in, and share if you want to.
There’s a place for you at the table. 🧡 if you haven’t signed up yet, you still can! https://empoweredchristianwife.com/surrendered-celebration/

A fresh week. A fresh place to begin. 💗🧡

There aren’t any WINS Celebration Calls today, so Monday feels like a sweet little reset.

Maybe today is a good day to make yourself comfortable, pick The Surrendered Wife back up, and read a chapter or two. Or three. Or half of one. 😊

Then take a peek at the week ahead and see if there’s a WINS Celebration Call that happens to fit your life.

No need to catch up.
No need to attend everything.
No need to be anywhere other than where you are.

Just keep reading, keep noticing, and come when you can. https://empoweredchristianwife.com/surrendered-celebration/

What surrendering isn’t.

The word surrender can sound like becoming smaller. Giving in. Taking the blame. Losing your voice.

That isn’t what this work has meant in my life.

For me, surrendering has meant learning to recognize what is actually mine to carry… and putting down what never was.

Looking at my paper does not mean deciding everything is my fault.

It means asking:
Who do I want to be here? What belongs to me? What can I actually choose?

That brings me back to agency.

I can apologize for my disrespect without taking responsibility for someone else’s behavior.

I can practice gratitude without pretending something painful isn’t painful.

I can relinquish control without relinquishing wisdom or discernment.

I can be vulnerable without becoming voiceless.

And I can practice the Six Intimacy Skills™ without believing that someone else gets to decide what I should do with my marriage.

One of the things I appreciate deeply about this work is that the woman remains the expert on her own life. The invitation is not, “Here is what you should do.” It is, “If you desire more peace, connection, joy and intimacy, here are some things you can experiment with on your side of the street.”

That distinction matters to me.

As a Christian, surrender has an even deeper meaning. I am not surrendering my wisdom, my dignity, or my responsibility before God. I am surrendering the exhausting belief that I can manage another human being into becoming who I think he should be.

I can own my sin without owning his.

I can change my behavior without pretending I control his.

I can offer forgiveness without calling something good that was not good.

And I can keep coming back to the responsibility God actually entrusted to me: my heart, my words, my choices, my obedience, my joy.

I invite you to carry this question with you through Surrendered September:

What belongs on my paper here… and what doesn’t?

That question has changed a lot for me. 💗

Sundays are an intentional pause for me.

A little space from all the things I’ve been doing, planning, producing, and keeping up with to ask myself:

How do I feel?
What do I want to do today?

What would feel like care for this body God has given me?
What gifts in my life do I want to slow down long enough to notice and thank Him for?

I’ll spend the morning with Jesus and my favorite people… the church. And somewhere in that, I may pick up The Surrendered Wife and read a little more. Not because I’m supposed to keep up. Just because I’m curious about what I might notice today that I wasn’t ready to notice yesterday.

Maybe that’s your invitation today too. No catching up required. Just rest, gratitude, and a little curiosity. 💗🧡
