We are very excited to announce our new pro Jason Goldman-Petri.
•Jason Goldman-Petri has been teaching tennis for 16 years. He is from Baltimore, Maryland where he also attended school at The Johns Hopkins University receiving his Bachelors in Psychology. Shortly after, Jason became the Head Coach of the Men’s and Women’s Teams for Stevenson University.
•After marrying his wife, Amanda, and becoming a father to his first son Blake (now 13 years old), Jason moved to Texas where he became the Tennis Director of two Country Clubs with the ClubCorp network. When Jason’s second son, Alex, was born (now 8 years old), Jason relocated to Florida to become Head Coach at the prestigious IMG Nick Bollettieri Academy. There, Jason was the Video Analysis Expert for all levels, including top players in the world, such as Kei Nishikori.
•Jason also researched and developed classroom strategy and mental sessions that have become the basis for the content taught by all coaches at the academy. Jason's work has been published numerous times in prestigious coaching magazines, such as the PTR Magazine. He is the author of two tennis instruction books, available on Amazon, Tennis Circuitry: Master the Software of a Professional Tennis Player, and, Tennis Circuitry: Master the Hardware of a Professional Tennis Player.
•Jason is a Master of Tennis in Performance with the USPTR (1 of less than 100 in the world), a USTA High Performance Certified Coach (1 of about 1000 in the country), and an iTPA Certified Tennis Performance Specialist (a strength and conditioning certification specifically for tennis). He is also a certified Pickleball professional with the USPPR.
•Jason has coached all levels, from beginners to professionals, and all ages, from 3-90. Jason's teaching motto is: “We cannot truly know the potential of any player until they have already gone through the process, so we need to train everyone as if they have the potential to be great.” He also believes in teaching "The Why" in addition to "The How" so that players understand what is happening to them and can make better adjustments and decisions out on the court during competition.
Jason is very excited to be joining the Blue Chip team and taking over the reigns as Director for Broadlands!
