The 27th annual steak fry is being held on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at Ashaway Sportsman's Club in Hopkinton RI. Food is served from 4 to 6 PM with raffles to follow. Donations are $45 for the event. Yummy!

It’s that time of the year again! It’s time to go fishing down at the “ole watering hole”! The Ashaway Sportsman’s Club invites the community to attend the Annual Huck Finn Day on Sunday, June 7th at Crandall Field in Ashaway. Festivities begin at 10:00am. Huck Finn Day is a special event that began in 1948. For generations, families spend the afternoon together enjoying good old-fashioned fishing and backyard fun. The Fishing Derby is the main event. Kids will be provided with a bamboo fishing pole and bait. This free activity is open to all children 12 years old and younger. Complimentary Hot dogs, Hamburgers and drinks will be provided to all! There will also be plenty of other activities and food to keep the family busy, including Group Sack Races, Water Balloon Toss, Inflatables, Archery, Face Painting and the always popular Huck Finn Look-A-Like Contest!
