Austin and I went to TRP to race the double Pepsi Bracket Race on Saturday. We started the day in a way that would make you question if you were going to be able to continue racing that day (parts fell off the car) ultimately the day turned out well! Austin made it to the final 4 cars of one race and also runner’d up in the other race in a group of cars that had no slouch racers. Super proud of this young man and where we are headed in our little program being one of the few to run OHV JR programs. In this part of the country!

We had a blast at the Division 4 NHRA JR
Bracket Finals in Ardmore! Austin did all he could to turn on those win lights. We didn’t get the results we wanted but we learned a lot about the car and the competition. It was truly an experience to race as a team against other tracks. We’re looking forward to the next race on the schedule.

We went after that diamond Wally today and came up a bit short. The car is dead on doing its job. We’ve got to work a bit on the front side of the race and Austin will be hard to get around in the future. Can’t say enough thanks to my Wife, Keith and Devon for the help in my absence today keeping Austin in the seat. That little 263 OHV is a mean little motor ! Flathead? Never heard of her …😆😆

We went out to run my car this time around. I entered Super Pro because I like to button race (trans brake) and also sportsman because I wanted more passes to dial the car in. I cut a perfect light in SP but ended my day in the class on a -.016 red light. However I went to the finals in Sportsman and runner up’d, that’s where I got put in the bad lane due to an oversight by the tower. So my car spun and fell way off my dial in. It is also on me as a driver to change my dial when I got put in that lane that’s on me.
Great day overall, had fun getting to race some.

We went racing at the spring Throw Down in T-Town! Austin entered Jr Sportsman, and I entered the Gasser class as well. Austin ended up in the winners circle!! He was locked in and ready to rumble! Couldn’t be more proud of this young man.. my Dad heart is so happy for him and his hard work paying off. Dialed 95 and with 97. OHV’s to the front!

This past weekend we made the trip to Midamerica for their first IHRA points race. We dang near got blown away by the wind 💨! But we had fun! Austin turned a couple win lights on we learned more about the car.

Well that’s a wrap! 2025 in in the books! Austin ended up 5th in points. He needed up also winning Rookie of the year!! First year in Jr Pro and he finished off the bottom and he didn’t even make all of the races. Looking forward to 26 and seeing what he is able to do this year!
