Archery Pre-Season Kick Off

It’s time again for our annual throwdown! We will be hosting another 3d shoot for the bow hunters. Invite your neighbor, hunting buddy, heck even invite the guy you just want to prove you’re better than!

You dont even have to shoot a compound. If you want to meet fellow sportsmen, talk hunting/equipment/tactics, eat good food, and hang out for an afternoon then stop by!

Bring something to throw on the grill/blackstone and your own drinks.

-September 6th
-15 targets will be shot and scored ASA style
-Shoot starts 1:00 (you can arrive as early as 11:00)
-Team shoot format: Teams of 2 will be assigned and randomly drawn from all participants
-$20 to participate in shoot. 50% payout to first/50% goes back into the target fund
-HUNTING BOWS ONLY (No open tournament setups, and no crossbows unless you bring your own target)
-All targets will be shot with field points
-Shoot is located outside of Cerro Gordo

This season proved to be tough for many hunters however a lot of good deer hit the ground. With my number one target buck eluding me this year, I was fortunate enough to take one of my target management bucks on the second to last day of the season. Now to the start of preparation for next year!

Attention all big deer hunters, and even bigger story tellers!! With deer season here, the infamous “Deer Camp” is right there with it! This year at the Herschberger “Ranch” we will be doing our regularly programmed deer camp every week on Thursday afternoons. Although, now we want anyone and everyone who can make it out, to stop by and talk about deer, fishing, adult beverages, trucks, working on/shooting bows, and anything else besides our 9-5 week day lives. Anyone is welcome to come join us, every Thursday through the end of deer season, starting on October 1st!

BIG NEWS!!!
We have been throwing around the idea of one day having our own Archery shop, and are constantly brainstorming what we would do, how we would do it. Well this year we have decided to start this long journey with the first baby step.

We are now able to get you custom strings!

Our good Indiana friend, Jason Meyer, started his very own brand called Squatch Bowstrings, and we have been chomping at the bit to tell everyone about it!

Jason has been the only one to build our strings on all of our bows for quite a few years now. From our tournament setups, to our hunting rigs, no one else could build a string that would compete in any way with what Jason builds/stands behind.

He uses only the best BCY materials on all of his strings, and even has a new recipe on a new line he’s coming out with. Offering smaller diameter, more responsiveness, and even more resistance to fraying.

Pick up a set of his strings (That not only he stands behind, but all of us at Sick Time/Po Boys Archery will as well) for only $110 installed! As customers order their very own strings, we will be able to show off even more of the workmanship Jason puts into his strings.

This is not the only thing we have in store for this year!

We are working on building inventory for a small “Traveling Bow shop”. We can already order almost anything any archer could want, but we are working on lowering our prices to compete with anyone around! (Comment below what you really wish we would carry, that you can’t find anywhere else. (Bowfishing supplies, tree stands, broadheads) Hopefully soon we will be able to have our shop near you for you to come hang out!

We are also working on organizing an archery club, so that we can host 3d shoots/tournaments locally.
