Designing, Manufacturing, and Racing Formula Cars Since 1984

UTA Racing is the Formula SAE team from The University of Texas at Arlington. Every year our team designs and builds a formula car to compete in the Formula SAE Series against other universities across the globe. Established in 1982, the team is one of the most successful in the series' history, having won eight championships in the United States and three abroad.

Welcome to UTA Racing! 🏎️

We are the Formula SAE team at The University of Texas at Arlington, where students design, manufacture, test, and race formula-style vehicles while gaining real-world engineering experience.

Whether you’re interested in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, business, media, computer science (or just want to learn something new!) there’s a place for you on the team. No prior experience is required; all we ask is a willingness to learn and contribute.
