ELEVATE Lacrosse Katie McMahon brings over ten years of lacrosse coaching experience, including both youth and high school.

Elevate Lacrosse LLC was founded in 2014 to offer elite private and small group lacrosse instruction and consulting services to teams and clubs in the Northern Virginia area. She started her coaching career in Davis, CA as a youth lacrosse coach from 2004 to 2008 and continued as the Head Coach of the Miramonte Women's Lacrosse Team in 2009. While a California resident, she coached the college cam

ps at the University of CA Berkeley and the University of CA Davis. Katie then relocated to the East Coast in 2011 and has coached for programs including BreakOut, SuperNova, and the McLean Youth League. She has a strong passion for teaching lacrosse by creating a fun and enthusiastic learning environment. Her coaching philosophy encompasses a strong emphasis on the fundamentals while teaching difficult technical skills. Katie has coached players ranging from young beginners to current Division I players. Katie is a former Division I lacrosse player from the University of CA Davis. As a mid-fielder she has outstanding experience and expertise on both the offensive and defensive sides of the field. Katie was a three year captain from 2004-2008, and a three time All-American. She holds school records in goals (252, 1st), assists (69, 4th), points (321, 1st), caused turnovers (131, 1st), and ground balls (153, 2nd). She was nominated for UC Davis
Athlete of the Year in 2008. She graduated in 2008 with a degree in Sociology and Communications and was recognized as an Outstanding Graduating Senior.

Things overheard while coaching: me:"Girls, I want you to keep practicing. Throw with your mom, dad, sister, or friend. I only see you once a week and practice is really going to help you!" Player 1: "My dad played in college and he shows me lacrosse things." Player 2: "My dad's a doctor."

I am so thrilled to announce my partnership with PRIDE GIRLS LACROSSE. I have signed on as the Director of Operations, and will also be coaching the 2022 and 2025 team. Our first goal was to be transparent about our club values and offerings. The website officially launched TODAY, and we are so proud!
