Yorktown Dance Team

Official page of the Yorktown High School Dance Team. The dance team performs at all home football and basketball games. Tryouts are held every May.

The team also competes in various local competitions, and is involved in events within the Arlington Community. The team practices 5 days a week for 2-3 hours per day for 10 months out of the year. Dancers must maintain a 3.0 GPA, and adhere to all school policies. Dancers must make the team all years to maintain their spot on the team.

Registration for our junior dancer workshop is now open! (for girls from 2nd through 8th grade)

Tuesday, November 5 (APS Holiday)

10am – 2:30pm
Yorktown High School Gym

Come join us for a day of dancing and fun! Participants will learn dance team techniques, as well as a routine choreographed by the dance team officer that they will get to perform for family and friends at the end of the day! It will surely be an experience your daughter will never forget!

Cost: $70 (Two or more children, $65 each)

A pizza lunch & special YDT t-shirt is included with each registration. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation.

Rock your ride and join YDT for our 1st annual Charity Ride at Cycle Bar Falls Church.

Sunday, September 29, 2019 from 1:00pm -1:45pm.

The cost to ride is a $50 minimum donation and it includes a 45 minute cycle class, shoe rental, water, and fresh fruit afterwards!

Seats are limited - so register ASAP!

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Borromeo Housing, Inc. To learn more about this amazing local charity please visit www.borromeohousing.org

4. Select “week of 9/29”

5. Select “YDT Charity Ride” and select your donation amount ($50 minimum)

6. Complete registration

7. Finally...go back into the calendar and repeat steps 3 & 4 and select “book this ride” one last time!

Tryouts start TODAY! Wear a black fitted top and black shorts (w/ n**e tights) or black leggings. Bring both jazz shoes and sneakers as well as your sports physical and emergency card. Come ready to dance!! We can’t wait to see you there!💙💙

Who’s excited?! Tryout day is in ONE WEEK! Use this week to make sure you are prepared and have everything you need! For tryout clinic days (5/20-5/22) wear a fitted black top and black shorts w/ tights or black leggings. For tryout day wear a white fitted top and blue shorts w/ tights or blue leggings. YOU MUST HAVE A VALID SPORTS PHYSICAL ON FILE TO TRY OUT! Join the YHS Spirit Program page on the Team app and request Preseason Dance Team if you need to access the physical form and to receive updates! See you there!💙
