Neighborhood Barre™ is a unique workout that combines the elements of dance conditioning, pilates, and yoga to create what is commonly referred to as a “dancer’s physique”. The technique primarily uses small isometric movements to carve and sculpt the muscles of the arms, legs, seat, and abs. Each set of exercises is followed by a series of stretches to shape the muscles, making them long and lean

. The Neighborhood Barre™ workout is suitable for both male and female patrons and can be performed by a wide range of ages. It can be used as either a primary fitness program, or as a complement to an existing program. Body positioning is taught in each class in order to maximize the benefit of the exercises, as well as insure safety of the lower back. All movements are low impact, easy on the joints, and help to improve posture and balance. When done consistently, muscles will become toned and lifted, and overall energy and metabolic levels will improve. The mission of Neighborhood Barre™ is to offer all clients, whether beginner or advanced, a quick and effective way to transform their bodies. The studio will evoke a sense of comfort and encouragement in our clients' quest for improvement, free of judgment and comparison.

Grateful.

It is with the heaviest hearts that we announce that after 6 years, NB Arlington is closing its doors. This was not an easy or quick decision and we want to thank each and every one of you for your investment in us, for showing up every day, smiles on your faces, and sharing in the amazing workout and community that is Neighborhood Barre.

Since 2017 we have loved being a part of the arlington community. We have met so many amazing strangers who became friends and then quickly family. We could not have done have built this space without you.

We know this decision impacts all of you and it is as hard on you as it is on us. Eileen, our instructors, and front desk staff will miss you dearly and hope you will stay in touch. We have loved growing with you all and being a part of your life, even if it was just been in 50 minute increments.

Our final class will be this Saturday, April 29th. That means you have the following opportunities to barre it out with us!

From all of us at Neighborhood Barre Arlington, it has been an honor to workout with you, laugh with you, dance with you, and sometimes cry with you these last 6 years. We could not be more grateful.

Meet our newest instructor, Charlotte!

Charlotte is so excited to be joining the NB team! She’s been practicing for the last 18 months and is ready to rock n roll! Her favorite position is pretzel, obviously! Favorite foods include strawberries and Turkey burgers and she considers herself to be an exceptional dancer. Her obsession with the word “owl” makes everyone, but her parents in particular, giggle for days! Look for Charlotte on the schedule stating April 1st!
