Ark City River Bike & Running Trails Dense wooded bike trail [8 mi]
on the banks of the Arkansas River. Adjacent to a paved 3.5 mi. levee Hike/Bike trail, leading to a paved 1 mile lake path

The very dense wooded area running along the bank of the Arkansas River that is over one mile long. It is the opinion of the expert trail builders that the finished trails [2015] will be a total of 6 to 8 miles in combined length, with moderate 5-8 ft elevation changes in many places. Because of the tree density the trails will be curvey. The age of many of the trees put them in the 5ft to 6 ft diameter range. A very impressive area close to town and the other two big paved trails just yards away. There will be a large trailhead parking lot built for the bicyclers and for the boat ramp, canoe & kayak dock area. They will be built away from bike trail, but on the river bank to the North. The air boat, canoe, kayak docks, and parking lot installed in the near future.
