CHARLOTTE, NC – Helping lead the Cowley College volleyball team to an unbeaten week with four wins over NJCAA opponents, Tiger outside hitter Lana Gomilanovic has been named the first NJCAA Division 2 Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week of the 2026 season.

Gomilanovic becomes the 61st Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference volleyball player since 2017 to earn national honors, and the 13th time that a player from Cowley has been recognized by the NJCAA with a weekly award. Of the 61 NJCAA Volleyball Player of the Week awards earned by KJCCC players, 31 have been earned by players at the NJCAA Division 2 level

Gomilanovic was a force for the Cowley offense as the Tigers went 4-0 last week against NJCAA Competition. Totaling 53 kills and averaging 4.08 kills per set, Gomilanovic had a .303 hitting percentage and added seven service aces. Gomilanovic had at least 12 kills in all four matches for the Tigers.

COLBY, Kan. – A perfect week for the Cowley College volleyball team with four wins over NJCAA opponents has led to Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division 2 Volleyball Player of the Week honors for Tigers Lana Gomilanovic, Addison Nenninger, and Isabella Bueno.

Lana Gomilanovic (Cowley) - KJCCC D2 Volleyball Player of the Week. Gomilanovic was a force for the Cowley offense as the Tigers went 4-0 last week against NJCAA Competition. Totaling 53 kills and averaging 4.08 kills per set, Gomilanovic had a .303 hitting percentage and added seven service aces. Gomilanovic had at least 12 kills in all four matches for the Tigers.

Addison Nenniger (Cowley) – KJCCC D2 Volleyball Setter of the Week. Nenninger averaged 10.85 assists per set across four matches against NJCAA competition and recorded at least 30 assists in all four matches for Cowley at the Wrangler Ranger Round Up Tournament in Texas. The freshman had double-doubles in each of the last three matches of the week and added 10 kills on a .320 hitting percentage. At the service line, Nenninger dished up 12 aces for a 0.92 service ace per set average while providing 35 digs and four blocks on the defensive end.

Isabella Bueno (Cowley) – KJCCC D2 Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week. Bueno anchored a Cowley defense that helped the Tigers go 4-0 last week, which included two wins over NJCAA Division 1 opponents and a sweep of the reigning NJCAA Division 3 National Champions and top-ranked Dallas College Eastfield. Across the four matches, Bueno averaged 4.77 digs per set while recording at least 12 digs in all four matches. The sophomore added 56 receptions in 57 attempts for a .982 reception percentage and added six service aces.

Congratulations to Addison Nenninger on being named the KJCCC Setter of the Week.
