A client texted me this the other day.

He said it’s almost creepy how it all falls into place once you have a goal and the right people around you.

Here’s what I told him: it didn’t happen by accident.

Nobody gets there by grinding harder. He got there because he put himself in a different room, around owners who track their numbers and run their business on purpose.

You act like the people around you. If every room you’re in is full of busy-but-broke owners, that’s the normal you’ll settle into.

Change the room. The results follow.

Stop forcing your team to buy in. Ask them to help.

You can’t force people to believe in a change they don’t understand.

Instead of telling your team, “This is what we’re doing now,” ask:

“How can you help us make this work?”

That one question can completely change the conversation.

People resist being told what to do.

But when you ask them to help build the solution, they become part of it.

You don't need to force buy-in. Give them a reason to buy in.

My schedule is almost completely full, with only a couple of spots left. I find myself opening up availability I don't necessarily want to fill. It's a busy Tuesday through Thursday, 7 AM to 7 PM, with minimal breaks. My wife keeps me fueled with drinks and snacks. This is my business, and I get to talk to clients about their businesses and help them succeed.
