For easiest threading, start the fishing line through the smaller of the holes.
2. Tie the knot, insuring the lure hangs horizontally.
3. If using attractant, sqeeze into the larger front hole. Hook the worm or bait so it hangs down as shown.
4. Jig slowly with an up and down motion at fish depth.
5. If using a cork, jerk the line slightly for motion and be prepared to catch fish!

Yesterday, a nice day, I fished Chisago. Found both crappie (white shad on white #8 Fisherbeck) and bluegill (waxie on White and orange #8 Fisherbeck). Had to scout around a bit and found the fish at 10-12 feet. Just off the bottom for gills and moving the jig right along for the crappie. Nothing of great size but lots and lots of anglers. Chisago is getting kind of fished out. Doug for Fisherbeck

Due to weather, bad ice, bad cold, and working as vendor I have not had success getting out ice fishing until this past week, although the weather was bad, it was not cold and the fishing was very slow.The good news is that the size of my fish caught was very nice. The pictures are of 6 fish caught Thursday in a snow fall. Wednesday I got a dozen same size and today I got one big crappie and couple of small bluegill It would be nice to get out of this low pressure system that is turning off the fish bite..

While waiting for the ice to form, I went up to the Red Lake Indian reservation and fished trout with Daris Rosebear. We used #8 white glo and wax worms (3-4) with great success. Both rainbow and brook trout were caught.
See pictures below.
This morning I checked out all the lakes in my area and the ice is good to walk out on. My next pictures will be (hopefully) of big bluegills. I put all 10+ in. glls back. Doug Erbeck for Fisherbeck jigs

Sorry I have been away from this site for over 3 weeks but will try better to keep everyone up to date on the Fisherbeck success when I get out fishing.
First, thank you who have ordered Fisherbeck lures from our web site and from Skype lately. Of course you are now the best pan fish anglers on the lake because:1) You catch more and bigger pan fish. 2) The jigs are the easiest of all to thread. 3) Made of tin, you can finesse fish them better than any other jig. and 4) They are very reasonable in price. Stock up now!
I went with Tom Cruz and George Ruth to WI and we all got some great Big bluegill, perch and crappie.We fished with Dave Blasko and his grandson, Ethan. Pictures are below with my other excursions near where I live in Hugo MN. Big Marine lake gave up nice limits of blue gill and crappie. Lake Peltier had some huge bluegill and oodles of 10-11 inch crappie. In spite of the wind and rain, 12 to 15 feet with bottom weeds held nice fish.

It has been a very long time since I have been on this site. Sorry, everyone. The move to Hugo, the horrid weather and all the work that needed to be done before I got out. But I found some great bluegill fishing at Big Marine Lake, just 4 miles from my house. I was in 8-9 feet of water, with some weeds almost reaching the surface. I had an orange Fisherbeck jig and 2-3 waxworms dangling from the hook. I had a small bobber with the jig about 4 feet down. The fish were pre-spawn as the water temp was 52-56 degrees. I have not been to the vendord shows because the prices have been too high for selling a $5 set of lures. Check out our web site and get the best pan fish lure for the most and biggest pan fish.
