University of San Francisco Women's Collegiate Rugby We intend to expand the great game of rugby within the Bay Area through competitive and advanced rugby play and training.

The USF/SF State Women's Rugby team, also know as the Bay Area Touring Side (BATS), are a competitive collegiate women's rugby team, focussed on improving the quality and skill of our play. As a Division II rugby team, we compete against other northern California teams within our Western Conference. Current Administration:

B.A.T.S are back for the 2025-26 rugby season and we can’t wait to see new faces!

🏉 All experience levels are welcome
🏉 We build confidence in a supportive team environment
🏉 All inclusive, all are welcome!

⭐️Practices start on Tuesday 8/26 at Negoesco Field from 4-6pm (USF)
⭐️Practices on Thursdays are at Mashouf Field from 4-6pm (SFSU)
⭐️Make sure to bring some running shoes/soccer cleats and sports attire!

Last, we have lovely Anna!

Anna joined our new USF + SFSU B.A.T.S. founding year in 2022. She has served as our backs captain for the last 2 years, secretary her 2nd year, and president her 3rd & 4th year. Anna has done an immeasurable amount of recruitment, management, and leadership for our team. Her rugby knowledge from previous experience has been so incredible and critical for our team over the years. Anna has brought her light and love to be the glue of this team. She has never been afraid of trying new positions and has grown into the amazing player and person as we know her today. Anna has been such a vital part of our team and her presence will be missed. We wish her nothing but success for her future endeavors. We love you so much!❤️
