It’s with a hugely heavy heart that we inform you of the loss of our beloved athletic trainer, friend, and colleague Shannon Childs. Shannon has been a massive part of the Humboldt community and athletic department for more than 24 years and has had an impact on every athlete that has come through our program for almost a quarter of a century. Saying he will be missed is a massive understatement. RIP Shannon, we love you… a true Lumberjack LEGEND!!

I am on a team raising funds for Equine Empowered Education! They use horses to teach kids mental health skills. I’ve set a goal for myself of helping to raise $1000 today! Every little bit counts to help me reach my goal and is greatly appreciated!

I am excited to share that I have joined a fundraising team for Equine Empowered Education! This organization helps kids learn about mental health challenges and gain skills that can help them navigate their lives. In this program, kids will learn in a classroom and then get to practice these skills at a barn with horses. I am supporting the organization because I know that Humboldt County kids have very few resources!

On May 29th, we are participating in a 24 hour fundraising challenge! We are raising funds to launch the pilot program with a middle school in Humboldt County. I would love your support- joining the team, donating, or spreading the word! Every little bit will help make a difference for kids that need it most. When you donate, corporate sponsors will match donations and give out prizes!
