Greetings Humboldt County Beer Runners!

My name is Rob Amerman and I'll be taking over for Jeff Haag as the coordinator for our weekly runs.

First of all, I want to thank Jeff for leading the group for the last several years. I joined the beer runners after Covid and I'm grateful for the friendships I've developed and the support I've gotten for my own running journey. Best wishes to Jeff as he plays another season of softball and finishes his last semester teaching!

This week we'll meet on Wednesday September 9th at 5:30 pm at Hiller Park in McKinleyville. We'll run the Hammond Trail then head over to The Bigfoot Taproom on Central Ave. The Bigfoot has several beers and ciders on tap in addition to wine and other adult beverages and soft drinks. They also host the Los Giles food truck which serves excellent Mexican food.

Let's meet this week (Wed. Sept. 2) at Redwood Curtain Brewing Company Brewery & Tap Room, 550 South G St, Arcata, at 5:28. Run the Arcata Marsh & Wildlife Sanctuary, then get back to the brewery to eat, drink, and dry out.

Back to the beach again!
The tide and the sun will both be out Wed. afternoon. So this week's beer run, Wed. July 29, will be at Clam Beach in McKinleyville. Meet at the North parking lot (on the frontage road one mile north of freeway exit #723) at 5:30. It will be breezy. Bring warm dry clothes to change into, a beach chair, beverages, and snacks.
Note: Six Rivers Running Club is putting on a race, The Sand Dollar Shuffle 5-miler, on the same beach this Saturday, August 1. The race starts a mile south of where the beer runners meet. See https://6rrc.com/ for more information
