In all seriousness, playing as a Vice (Vice-Captain) takes some serious skill! According to the official duties , you have to be the eyes for your team and signal exactly where the jack is.

2026 marks the historic Route 66 Centennial 💯, and we are kicking off the celebrations with the 5th Annual Route 66 Challenge this Saturday morning!
The host team, Anita Lawn Bowling Club, has dominated the green and taken the trophy the last two years. But this year, the rivalry heats up. 🔥 The powerhouse Lawn Bowling Club is coming to town with one goal: to wrest that trophy away!

2026 is the Route 66 Centennial ... and it's the fifth year of the Route 66 Challenge ... this Saturday morning (6/6) at Arcadia County Park, home of the Santa Anita Lawn Bowling Club ... at the corner of Route 66 and Santa Anita Avenue. The Pasadena Lawn Bowling Club will attempt to wrest the trophy from the host Santa Anita Club, which has won each of the last two years.

Come on out to watch the competition -- three simultaneous games on one bowling green, starting at 9:30 am.

Bobby Troup wrote it, Nat King Cole sang it, and now YOU can get YOUR kicks on Route 66! And you can sign up for a free lesson!
