The OKC Gun Club is hosting a Steel Challenge match on Saturday, May 17 at the Action Pistol Range (off Hiwassee Rd, just north of Sorghum Mill Rd).

Whether you're a seasoned shooter or just curious, this event is open to both members and non-members so everyone is welcome!

Ladies Pistol League – Holster Basics
July 5, 2026

Have you been curious about holsters but weren’t sure where to start? This class is for you!

Whether you’re brand new to holster work or looking to build confidence and refine your skills, our Holster Basics class is open to women of all experience levels. We’ll begin with a Q&A session covering holster selection, gear options, and what to look for when choosing equipment that fits your needs.

This is a true crawl, walk, run skill-building class. We will start with training guns and learn the fundamentals of safely drawing and reholstering. From there, we’ll progress into dry practice with your gear before moving on to live-fire exercises and first shots from the holster.

No holster? No problem! If you’re “holster curious” and want to learn more before making a purchase, we encourage you to attend. This class is designed to help you make informed decisions and build confidence in a safe and supportive environment.

Important: This will be the only Holster Basics class offered in 2026 due to our busy training schedule, so don’t miss your opportunity to join us!

Everyday Emergency Medical Skills

A focused two‑hour class designed to teach practical, life‑saving trauma skills you can use in real‑world emergencies. This session provides intensive, hands‑on training that bridges the gap between the moment an injury occurs and the arrival of definitive medical care.

The course is taught by an experienced emergency and trauma nurse.

Intermediate Ladies Pistol League 🔥

Today was one of those days that reminds me exactly why we do this.

We pushed hard.
We worked a variety of drills under time and accuracy constraints.
And these ladies showed UP.

I watched shooters step outside their comfort zones, chase the clock, and still demand accuracy of themselves—and that’s where real growth happens. That’s where confidence is built.

About 300 rounds later… we are tired, a little worn out, but better than we were when we started.

What I love most about this group is the commitment. These women don’t just show up—they put in the work. They practice between classes, they stay coachable, and they continue to raise their own standards every single month.

And it shows. Big time.

To the ladies who were there today—I see you, and I’m proud of you. You’ve earned every bit of that progress.

And to those who missed it… you missed a GOOD one. 😉
We’re raising the bar over here, and it’s only going up from here.

There is something really special about this group of women. 💜

Month after month, they show up. They put in the work. They step outside their comfort zones, support one another, and continue to grow—not just as shooters, but as confident, capable women. That kind of commitment is something I will never take for granted, and I couldn’t be more proud of every single one of them.

The Ladies Pistol League is more than just training—it’s a community. A place where women come to learn firearm safety, build real proficiency, and gain the confidence to take ownership of their personal protection. And the best part? We do it together, with encouragement, laughter, and a whole lot of heart.

We are also incredibly blessed to have the support of companies and partners who believe in what we’re doing. Their support helps us continue to grow, reach more women in our community, and provide meaningful, quality training.

This group works hard—but we also have a blast doing it. And that balance is what makes this so special.

LADIES INTERMEDIATE LEAGUE

The OKCGC Ladies Intermediate League is designed for women who are ready to move beyond the basics and continue developing their shooting skills in a structured and supportive environment. This program is intended for experienced shooters who have demonstrated safe gun handling and foundational marksmanship skills.

Participation in the Intermediate League is by invitation only and requires shooters to meet established shooting and safety standards before joining. This ensures that all participants share a similar level of experience and allows the class to focus on skill development, efficiency, and confidence under more advanced training conditions.

Students should be comfortable handling their firearm safely and consistently, including drawing from a holster and performing reloads. Training will build on these fundamentals while introducing more challenging drills designed to improve accuracy, consistency, and performance.

Required Equipment for All Sessions:

-Handgun suitable for training

-Belt-mounted holster (strong-side, AIWB,IWB) (Enigma is approved)

-Magazine pouches

-Minimum of 200–250 rounds of ammunition

While this league is not designed for beginner shooters, we are committed to helping women grow in their shooting journey. Students who are still developing foundational skills are encouraged to participate in our beginner or foundational classes before progressing to the Intermediate League.

Our goal is to create a welcoming, supportive environment where motivated shooters can continue to challenge themselves, improve their abilities, and train alongside other dedicated women.
