Pierce Varsity Bears With Tough Game Against Durham

Pierce Varsity Bears couldn't keep up with Durham and fell 12-4 on Friday.
Durham jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the second inning after #13 doubled, scoring two runs, and Brevan Ring drew a walk, scoring one run.
A ground out by #13 extended the Durham lead to 5-0 in the bottom of the third inning.
Durham scored five runs on two hits in the bottom of the sixth inning. Nolan Ring drew a walk, scoring one run, Jason Ritzert doubled, scoring one run, and #13 grounded out, scoring two runs.
Colin Dye pitched three innings in relief for Pierce Varsity Bears. The hurler gave up three hits and four runs while, striking out two and walking two. Connor Harris stepped on the bump first for Pierce Varsity Bears. The starter gave up one hit and five runs over two and one-third innings, striking out one and walking seven. Ring began the game for Durham. The starter allowed one hit and three runs (two earned) over four innings, striking out eight and walking three.
Levi Delepierre and Fabian Paiz each drove in one run for Pierce Varsity Bears. Paiz led Pierce Varsity Bears with one hit in three at bats. Nathan Gomez led Pierce Varsity Bears with three walks.
