Elite Young Guns Clay shooting team

We had a wet and soggy day today but the outcome was amazing for our team! We had several boys win big today. Matthew won the NC SCTP JV State Championship today. Him and his teammate Carson pulled off a third place overall in the squad competition. Colton won the NC SCTP Intermediate Advanced S***t Championship after a shoot off with his teammate Blake. Them along with Chase took first place in the squad competition! And last but certainly not least Bubba took home the NC SCTP Rookie State championship today!! So proud of all these boys and the way they shot! There has been a lot of practice leading up to this! Glad it’s starting to pay off for these young men!! Super proud of all our boys that participated today!!

We had a great day shooting yesterday in the NC SCTP Championships. Some of our boys really showed out yesterday. Our Intermediate Advanced squad won the state championship for their squad!! Blake shot 2nd overall in Intermediate Advanced. Everette shot 3rd in Intermediate Entry. Bubba won the Rookie class!! This was the first tournament for some of these guys and they did great!! Overall a successful day for them! Thanks to all the parents and coaches for your support!!

The Jack Links Cup was lit thanks to our talented young guns who represented us so well there this past weekend. Kudos on their excellent performance that made an impact against top contenders! Bubba shot the best he’s ever shot and rocked out a 10th place in E class in the prelim and a 26th place in the main. Colton had a decent weekend in C class and even beat a Pro Shooter Todd Hitch in the Make a Break!!

Chase, Bubba and Colton had a great practice yesterday on the S***t field and the 5 stand. We also had a couple new ladies come out to give it a try! Welcome to Johhna and Ava. Can’t wait to see yall progress in this sport. I didn’t get many pictures! I’m gonna need the parents help on that 😂

Colton “Worm” Dull had a clinic today with two of the best in the business! He spent 6 hours today with Mike Luongo one of the best Sporting Clay coaches in the country and the NSCA National Champion Mr Brandon “BP” Powell! Thanks to you both and Rocky Creek Sporting clays for what you are doing for the youth and the sport!!

A couple of the team members had a very busy day! Jase “Bubba” Childers had his best score ever in a practice round today at Rocky Creek Sporting clays! ! It’s been a blessing to watch this boy progress in not only his shooting skills but also growing into a fine young man!! Keep up the Good work Bubba!!
