PlayWell Performance Kent’s passion is helping athletes perform and play at their highest efficiency possible. Jason has coached high level travel. ball for the last 10 years.

Kent grew up in Jackson, Alabama where he was a member of the 2008 4a state championship team and was 4a player of the year. Kent received a scholarship to play baseball at The University of Alabama and was a member of the 2010 super regional team. After graduating with a degree in Exercise Science, Kent continued on and earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from UAB. He has helped rehabilitate

athletes for nearly 10 years and has a passion for preventing injuries from occurring. Kent is OnbaseU certified as well as TPI Level 2 Fitness and TPI Level 2 Junior Certified. OnbaseU and TPI are organizations dedicated to the study of how the human body functions in relation to golf, baseball and softball. Each athlete that comes into PlayWell will undergo a thorough evaluation and assessment to determine what physical limitations are preventing the athlete from performing at their max potential. OnbaseU and TPI will give us a detailed breakdown of how those limitations are impacting their swing and pitch. Each athlete will have a custom program developed that will improve their physical limitations to ultimately make an athlete perform more efficiently. The program is made to fit not only the players physical limitations, but also custom to how old the athlete is and where they are in the growth cycle. We train athletes as young as 6 years old and their program will look vastly different than an older athlete. Jason has been involved in coaching and training youth baseball and softball players for over 12 years. Jason has trained over 150 athletes who have went on to play in college and 2 who have went on to play professionally. Jason played college ball for Missouri Baptist University in St. Louis, MO. He is married and has 2 young children.

From ACL surgery ➡️ college football. 💪🏈

Kalun has put in a ton of work throughout the rehab process, and it’s been awesome watching him progress from the early stages after surgery all the way back to being ready to compete.

Now he’s headed to Missouri Valley College to continue his football career!

We’re excited to kick off another season of helping athletes get faster, stronger, and more confident in their sport!

This fall, our programs focus on:
⚡️ Running technique
⚡️ Speed, agility & coordination
💪 Proper lifting technique and strength development

⚾️ 11+ Baseball Performance
🗓 Mondays & Wednesdays | ⏰ 3:15 PM
Our off-season baseball program is designed to build arm strength, increase throwing velocity, improve exit velocity, and prepare athletes for a healthy, successful season.

🏈 Flag Football Performance
🗓 Tuesdays | ⏰ 3:45 PM
Players will improve their speed, catching, change of direction, flag pulling, and overall athleticism while having fun in a competitive environment.

Whether your athlete wants to improve performance, reduce injury risk, or gain an edge over the competition, we’d love to have them join us this fall!
