Whew! What a whirlwind the last week has been! The Section 5 Tournament went the distance, ending in true nail biting fashion with a walk-off single to center in the bottom of the 7th, AFTER a homer to tie and a homer robbing catch at the wall to keep it tied! As sad as we are that Aptos wasn’t either of the teams in Championship action, we couldn’t have asked for two better competitors than Los Altos Little League and Los Gatos Little League.

With only a week to plan, get volunteers, dial in fields and more for this tournament, our Aptos LL family answered the call time and time again! From 12s All-Stars players and families, boardmembers, League families with no skin in the game, everyone stepped up in some way to make it a success. Our teen volunteers getting hours filled in the snack shack were nothing short of amazing. Not one phone was out, they were engaging and polite, took initiative, and were a joy to be around!

Thank you to our community partners like California Giant Berry Farms Aptos St. BBQ Tortilla Shack and alumni, Mariners, so many long time community people coming to check out the action over the last several days, especially to cheer on our Aptos All-Stars.
