Since its opening on this day in 2007, the International Disc Golf Center has been the home of countless memories and a place for every PDGA member to feel at home. 🏡

The next chapter of the IDGC begins this fall when the facility reopens. Details: PDGA.com/news/return-idgc. Special thanks to Columbia County for their partnership on this project.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers began burning piles at the IDGC earlier this week. They started with four huge piles of hurricane-related debris. Five additional piles will be lit within the next couple of weeks. This is an essential step in our cleanup process, and we want to thank our friends at the Army Corps of Engineers for their continued support of the IDGC.

Keep an eye on this page for future updates and announcements. The entire IDGC facility will remain closed until further notice.

IDGC Cleanup Update: October has been a busy month at the IDGC. 250+ downed/damaged trees have been cut, dragged, and piled. This was a huge step towards cleaning up the most damaged and dangerous areas on the property. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will come in to burn the piles over the winter months.

Keep an eye on this page for future updates and announcements. The entire IDGC facility will remain closed until further notice.

The logging operation at the IDGC is complete. Huge progress across the property where the loggers were able to harvest. Currently we are coordinating with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and independent contractors to clear several areas that the logging equipment could not access.

Keep an eye on this page for future updates. For now, the facility remains closed until further notice.

The logging operation has started at the IDGC. The woods look a lot different already! This is a huge step towards getting the facility ready for the future. We will post more pictures and updates when more progress has been made.

The entire IDGC facility will remain closed until further notice. Additionally, the Bartram Trail within Wildwood Park is temporarily closed until the logging is complete.

IDGC Cleanup Update: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers signed a contract with a logging company to begin work on the IDGC property. These loggers will harvest the downed and damaged timber on the property, a key early step in our cleanup efforts. We don’t have an exact date for when this work will begin, but we will post an update once the loggers get started. Once the logging is complete, cleanup efforts will continue with the IDGC staff, hired contractors, and volunteer days over the summer.

The IDGC is still closed for now, but we couldn’t be more excited for the future of this property! We also appreciate everyone’s continued support and patience. More updates coming soon.

A look at some of the damage done to the “Steady” Ed course during Hurricane Helene. This course alone has approximately 215 down or hazardous trees in the fairways to be removed. We are still working with the Army Corps of Engineers, Columbia County, and local loggers to find a cleanup solution for the entire property.

Shoutout to Columbia County Parks, Recreation and Events for the work already being done inside Wildwood Park. It’s great to see the campgrounds up and running, and we can’t wait to see disc golf back in the future.
