This weekend, Peterson Park becomes the home of some outstanding youth baseball as Battle in the Bowl II returns, hosted by Wisconsin Rock Lizards Baseball.

We're excited to welcome some of the area's top teams for three days of competitive baseball, great sportsmanship, and a fun-filled weekend for the entire family.

🦎🎣 DID YOU KNOW?

One of the questions we hear the most is...

"Why do you call yourselves the Rock Lizards if your logo is a fish?"

It's a good question.

Across the Midwest, anglers have a nickname for trophy walleye that spend their time around rocky reefs, gravel bars, and hard-bottom structure.

They call them Rock Lizards.

When we set out to build this organization, we weren't looking for another generic mascot.

We wanted a name with roots.
A name that meant something.
A name that represented where we come from.

Being based in Green Bay, the Walleye Capital of the World, choosing the walleye was easy.

The nickname was even easier.

So the next time someone asks why our logo is a fish...

You can tell them there's a reason behind it.

It's our way of paying tribute to the fish, the waters, and the Midwest fishing culture that inspired this organization.

Every great name has a story.

Now you know ours. 🦎🐟⚾

Players who missed a previous tryout/assessment.
Players who would like a second evaluation for additional consideration.

⚾ NEWYBL Fall Development League

Players who missed a previous league assessment.

Players will be evaluated in:
✅ Hitting
✅ Fielding
✅ Throwing
✅ Running
✅ Pitching/Catching (if applicable)

Please bring:
⚾ Glove

👟 Cleats or athletic shoes

Please arrive 10–15 minutes early to check in.

Adversity doesn’t build character—it reveals it.

This 10U squad embraced every challenge, battled until the final out, and finished the season exactly the way they wanted to.

⚾️ 3-0-1 Record
🥉 3rd Place Finish

They missed the championship game by run differential, but never let that define their weekend. They competed with grit, heart, and a refusal to quit from the first pitch to the last.

An incredible way to close out the 2026 season. Proud of every one of these boys. The future is bright. 👊⚾️

First come-from-behind victory for this 10U squad! 🔥

What a way to build momentum heading into the weekend in Wrightstown. Down but never out, these boys battled until the final out and walked it off for a thrilling 6-5 win. 💥

Proud of the grit, resilience, and belief they showed today. This team refused to quit, and it paid off.

🏆 Embarass Fun Days Champions! 🏆

The Rock Lizards 8U brought home the championship this weekend, and they earned every bit of it. From the first pitch of Game 1 to the final out, these boys played with heart, hustle, and a goal in mind.

A big congratulations to Shawano 8U on a tremendous tournament and an outstanding championship game. They pushed us every step of the way and made us earn the title.

Proud of this group and the way they continue to compete, grow, and represent the game the right way. Keep working, boys…. This is just another step in the journey. 🦎⚾🏆

Huge shoutout to Luxemburg-Casco on winning War on the Shore 2! 🏆

Two hard-fought games between two teams that competed the right way. We had our chances but couldn’t quite finish when it mattered most.

This picture represents what youth baseball is all about—respect, effort, and great competition. Congratulations to Luxemburg-Casco on the championship, and proud of our Rock Lizards for battling to a runner-up finish in some of the best baseball we’ve competed in all season. 👏⚾
