The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Training Division has added new dates for its “Lady Be Aware” course, an eight-hour program designed to help women develop the attitude, skills, and knowledge needed to avoid becoming victims.
Upcoming course dates include September 19, September 26, October 17, October 24, and November 14, and all sessions will be held at 18901 Institution Road in Devore.
The course includes four hours of classroom instruction featuring newly revamped material, two hours of weaponless defense training, and two hours focused on shooting and firearm safety. The cost is $75 per person, and participants must be at least 16 years old, with those under 18 required to be accompanied by a guardian.
Registration is available via email at [email protected], and payment must be made by credit card within 24 hours of registering. A valid California driver’s license is required to enroll, and additional course details will be provided by email upon registration. Participants should note that the cancellation policy allows for a one-time date change or refund, with cancellations required at least one week prior to the scheduled class.
