Quick update that we need to cancel tonight due to COVID exposure for multiple players. We also want to share that we will not be scheduling any additional court time in 2022. MVBC has had a great run, but due to the ongoing impact and uncertainty of COVID, MVBC will stop playing regularly. We appreciate the friendships made over the years and your partnership and support for the club.

Those who have racquets that are being strung, please reach out and we will arrange a time/place for pick up. Also, we have a limited supply of birdies and racquets available for purchase, let us know if you are interested.

Warm up your weekend with some Friday night badminton. MVBC is moving from Sunday to Friday evenings beginning this week, Friday, November 12th. Time and location remain the same - Jefferson Activity Center (JAC) in Bloomington from 6 to 9pm.

We're back! Excited to begin our practice sessions again.
Players of all levels are welcome to join us starting next Sunday (Nov 7th) at Jefferson Activity Center, Court #3.

We will be following JAC COVID procedures when in the building, currently masks are required when entering/exiting the building and while waiting for matches. They are not required while actively playing.

It's been too long, looking forward to seeing everyone on the courts once again!

Today would have been the first day of the MVBC 2020 Open – hard to believe how much the world has changed in a month.

Trust everyone is safe, healthy, and well. Community makes life sweeter and we are thankful for the MVBC Badminton community. We are all missing that a bit, but we look forward to reconnecting again soon.

In response to COVID-19, the Kennedy and Jefferson Activity Centers have been closed at least through the end of March, and possibly longer. All MVBC sessions in March have been cancelled. Those who paid for the Spring session pass will be refunded for the missed dates.

We will keep you updated on when we will be able to meet again. Wishing everyone the best of health as we wait this one out and look forward to when we will see each other on the courts again!

Due to the Coronavirus outbreak and its anticipated ongoing impact on travel and gatherings, we will be postponing the 2020 MVBC Open scheduled for April 4th and 5th. We are disappointed to have to do this, but we need to be mindful of the health and welfare of our participants and spectators. If the outbreak subsides and we can find suitable dates and venue, we will try to reschedule for later this year, otherwise we will aim for Spring 2021. Thanks to everyone who committed to play in the tourney, as well as our many sponsors. For those who have registered and paid with PayPal, we will be refunding your payment in the next few days. If you have paid cash, please stop by during one of our regular weekly sessions and we will return your registration fee.

Like most things, this will pass, and we look forward to hosting the tournament again soon!
