11 FOR 10 PLAYER OF THE WEEK: KAMDEN ALBERSON

Since Day 1, Kamden Alberson has been all about finding ways to support this team and do whatever is needed for the good of the group. He has consistently put his brothers first, embraced his role, and shown what it means to be selfless. The 11 for 10 mentality is about doing your part to help the 10 guys around you succeed, and Kamden has embodied that mindset from the very beginning. We’re proud to recognize him for his commitment to this team, his willingness to put others first, and the way he continues to show up for his brothers!

Great Job Oaks! 🟡🐻

Waynedale Athlete of the Week: 10/5 - 10/10

Waynedale Sports Fans,

Congratulations to Kaden Oaks for being named the Waynedale Athlete Of The Week for October 5th - 10th. Here are some of his accomplishments from our football coach Jay Vitallo.

Team Successes:
*** The football team beat Northwestern by the score of 31-14 last Friday.

Kaden Oak's Successes:

*** 2 receptions for 47 yards and a receiving touchdown.

*** 4/4 on his PAT kicks.

*** 1/1 on his field goal kicks with the kick being from 35 yards.

*** 5 defensive tackles.

*** 1 onside kick recovery.

“All of Kaden’s accomplishments in this game were huge but what caught my attention most was watching his maturation as a teammate. Kaden was involved in multiple 11-for-10 plays where his effort and playing through the echo of the whistle led to huge explosive plays for our team and huge stops on defense." - Coach Vitallo

Congratulations to Kaden Oaks.

Go Bears!!!

11 FOR 10 PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Congratulations to Reid McKelvey on being named this week’s Waynedale Football 11 for 10 Player of the Week!

Reid has played a ton of different positions for our football team, and no matter where we’ve needed him, he has always been willing to step up and take on a new role to support his team and his teammates.

That’s what 11 for 10 is all about.

Reid plays to our standard of play on every snap, giving everything he has regardless of the circumstances. His versatility, selflessness, and willingness to do whatever the team needs are exactly what we want from a Golden Bear.
