TSS MOUNT GAY RUM GASPARILLA REGATTA:

The "on-time" Registration for the Regatta, as well as the guarantee deadline to receive a Regatta T-Shirt, including by required size, will end at 11:59pm tomorrow night, Thursday, 12 February, after which time the Registration fee will increase from $75 to $85. The order for the T-Shirts will be placed with the vendor on Friday morning, 13 February. The T-shirt orders will be filled in date rank order and only the orders placed by the aforementioned deadline, along with the volunteers are guaranteed to be filled. The order will be grossed up by a historical factor to attempt to speculate a solution that meets demand for t-shirt orders after the on-time ordering deadline. That being said, by way of example, 53 shirts were ordered by the on-time deadline for the Pilar Rum Rumgatta and 135 shirts were ordered. The shirts were extremely popular and supply was far outpaced by demand to the point that several people that ordered by the final registration deadline and some volunteers, along with some on-site sales, did not receive their shirts in the sizes that they desired. For the Mount Gay Gasparilla Regatta, once they're gone, they're gone. There will be no supplemental order.

The artwork for this year's Regatta will be the thematics, symbolism and imagery evoking the flotilla of Edward Teach, more commonly known as "Blackbeard," whose flagship was the Queen Anne's Revenge; she was wrecked at Beaufort Inlet, North Carolina, on 10 June, 1718.

A WORD ABOUT THE TSS PILAR RUM RUMGATTA T-SHIRTS:

A supplemental order is being placed to fill those purchased and allocated to volunteers who did not receive their shirts at the Rumgatta. They will be available for pick-up at the Registration table at the Gasparilla Regatta. Additionally, it is expected that there will be some additional shirts for sale but they are expected to go fast!

Everybody’s looking forward to our Gasparilla Regatta, right? If you’re not racing, please volunteer for Race Committee or any of the onshore hospitality tasks that ensure fun for everyone. And, fast after, comes our Midwinter Regatta March 13, 14 and 15 (Friday -Sunday). Volunteering counts for slip and waiting list compliance but best of all is the fellowship! Even an hour or two helps. Let Darin O’Neal know you’re available.

The Annual Apollo Beach Lighted Boat Parade, sponsored by Tampa Sailing Squadron and Star Ship Yacht Cruises, will be held THIS SATURDAY, Dec. .13th, 2025!

5pm - Burgers and Brats @ TSS (Open to the public)

5:30 pm - Apollo Beach Elementary School Choir sings @ TSS

6pm - Parade begins in Apollo Beach South Basin

Following the parade, the TSS Chili Cook-off will be held in the clubhouse. (Open to the public)
