✅ Anti-Abduction Tips Every Parent Can Teach Today

🧠Here are quick, easy to learn skills to reduce risk:

🗣️ Yell a loud “NO” + run to a safe space: Teach a loud “NO! Don’t touch me!” and step back fast to create space.
🚗 Car-distance rule: Kids stay two big steps outside arm’s reach of any car and never approach a vehicle for directions or candy.
🧾 Family password: Only leave with an adult who knows your secret word. If they don’t, walk away and tell a safe adult.
👀 Name the safeties: Practice spotting safe adults/places (cashier, teacher/coach, front desk, mom with kids) when you enter new spaces.
📶 Check-in habit: Pre-plan where to meet if separated; build a simple “if/then” script (“If I’m lost, then I go to the counter and say, ‘Please call my parent.’”).

These tips align with the radKIDS® approach of replacing fear with knowledge, skill, and practiced responses kids can actually use.
