MURPH HERO WORKOUT

Murph is a CrossFit Hero workout that stands as a testament to the enduring legacy of U.S. Navy SEAL Lt. Michael P. Murphy, who died heroically in the line of duty in Afghanistan on June 28, 2005.

Murph was introduced as a CrossFit Hero workout on Aug. 18, 2005, and has become a long-standing tradition observed by CrossFit and a broader global community of athletes. Thousands of CrossFit gyms program Murph each year on Memorial Day as a way to honor Lt. Murphy and all others who have served.

Strong stance. Fast coordination. Full body engagement. 🐻🔥

These aren’t just “gym skills” they’re athletic life skills. Watching our GSC kids learn how to move with control, awareness and confidence is EXACTLY why youth strength and conditioning matters.

The push jerk may look simple with a PVC pipe, but behind it is:
✔️ Body awareness
✔️ Balance & coordination
✔️ Core engagement
✔️ Timing & athletic reaction
✔️ Confidence under movement

These are the foundations that carry over into ALL sports and everyday life. Soccer, baseball, gymnastics, football, wrestling, dance… strong movement patterns help kids move safer, faster and more confidently 💯

Proud coach moment watching these kids lock in, listen, adjust and improve together. This is more than fitness. It’s leadership, confidence and athletic development at a young age 🤍

What an amazing event! Thank you to everyone who attended GrupoFit yesterday for our 6p and 7p classes. We can’t tell you how much we appreciate our community for simply showing up with support for your local CF box, getting after the workout with smiles on your faces,
hitting the run with
AND coming down to Sunset Dr bringing the best vibes 💯🤟🏽

Both classes will be a mix of Live Music inspired by Banda, coach led workout, the workout can be tailored to any athlete and coming straight to your community. Let’s party this Friday and spread some amazing vibes on Sunset Dr.
