Well, that's the way the cookie crumbles... or I should say the rain drops fall..⛈️ We only got about 14 or so heats in but that's ok, we have another home meet next Wednesday, July 1st.

On the ☀️Bright/sunny side...☀️ (see what I did there 🤣)

** We had 3 of our youngest swimmers complete their 1st race yesterday including our YOUNGEST swimmer... Lucas F. at 5 years old!!! He made it across the entire pool Great Job Buddy! 🎉

Hopefully your kiddos had great big smiles this morning for pictures and we will see you at the pool!

P.S. If you had any friends that were on the fence of joining the team for next year, tell them to come out to next week's home meet and stay for a few heats to get an idea on how it works and how fun Swim Team is!

⭐️What a GREAT 1st Swim Meet of the Season. Congrats to all our swimmers for swimming your hearts out!⭐️

Antioch Waves Took home the following:
🥇 ~ 38 Gold
🥈 ~ 15 Silver
🥉 ~ 12 Bronze

(Schaumburg took home 17 Gold, 11 silver, 5 Bronze)

📢We would also like to point out some HUGE achievements. Ribbons are great, but beating your own personal time for each Heat is also very important...

🎉🎉Antioch Waves had 17 Swimmers that beat a personal time across 25 heats. 🎉🎉

Practice Information: This year the times are the same
Monday-Friday
6:30- 8am practice is for ages 13+
8-9:15 practice is for ages 9-12
8:45-9:30 practice is for ages 8 and under

We use ages as guidelines. If you feel your swimmer would benefit from a different practice, please talk to the coach about attending another practice. Please come to practice on time and ready to do your best.

Waves Families,

We are so excited for the upcoming season. The Antioch Waves are excited to welcome Nicole Klema as Head Coach! With over 30 years of coaching and swim instruction experience, Nicole brings passion, energy, and a proven track record of developing swimmers at every level from beginners to elite competitors.

As a seasoned coach, educator, and owner of WAGS Aquatics, Nicole is dedicated to building a strong team culture focused on hard work, confidence, and fun. She’s committed to helping every swimmer improve, compete with pride, and reach their full potential , both in and out of the pool.

The Kiefer store is open! There are new options available. This year there is no end date to order. The items will ship a week or two after order. Order early as they get busy in these coming weeks. The team shirts that all the swimmers receive are also available for purchase. Each one is $20. Let me know if you would like one of those. They will arrive at the same time the swimmers get their shirts which should be in later June.

Our team requires a black swimsuit for meets. It does NOT have to have the waves logo on it.

Our parent meeting will be May 26, 2026 at 7:30pm via zoom. We will send the link out closer to the date.
