Menomonee Falls Mt. Bike Club

Menomonee Falls Mt. Bike Club Open to all students in Grades 6th-12th residing within the Menomonee Falls School District. We have a great group of not just athletes, but families.

Open to all Menomonee Falls students in grades 6th through 12th, we are looking forward to another exciting year of fun and growth in our student athletes. Our team is first and foremost here to provide a sense of community to all who are involved. Our practices are intended to build personal connections between all of the athletes, foster a positive self-image, and challenge the athletes both men

tally and physically. As in previous seasons, we have a great group of coaches, who love the sport and are here because they want to help our athletes grow, not only as riders, but as people. We feel that cycling isn’t just an activity you do, it is a community you belong to, and we are here to help foster a lifelong passion for riding.

We wrapped up our race season today at the Trek Red Barn State Championships. Course conditions changed dramatically through the day. After overnight rain, the morning was muddy and slippery. Sun and wind came along to dry the trails and provide great conditions for the for the later races.

We have congratulations again this week:
Hannah on the podium in 5th in D2 JVII Girls.
Hazel grabbing another top twenty in D2 Frsh Girls.

As a team we finished 18 of 70 D2 teams. Those scoring team points were Hannah (JVII Girls), Hazel (Frsh Girls), Sam (V Boys), and Braden (V Boys).

Great job by all of our student athletes today.

For the series overall this season, Hannah locked in 7th place and Hazel Hazel 19th place. As a team, we finished in 19th out of 78 teams. Congratulations on a successful season.

Tomorrow will be that last time that these three seniors compete on the mountain bike in the Wisconsin Interscholastic Cycling League.

Sam, Braden, and Ruth, you chose a sport that tests your mettle and demands you hone skills that allow you to overcome the obstacles and challenges it presents. You have made your parents and coaches proud. Attack the course and allow nothing but your best selves to be out there so when you cross the finish line you can look back knowing that all of your efforts and work will bring memories accompanied by smiles.

Best of luck in your last race.

Here we are at the end of the season. One race left. On Sunday we will be at the private trails of Trek. It’s great the these trails are opened up to ~1,200 student athletes and a couple thousand coaches and fans for the final race of 2025. Races start at 8:15am and countinue until about 3:30pm.

Best of luck to all of our student athletes. Remember, Challenge by Choice. Challenge yourself to ride smarter, faster, and harder this weekend. Be proud of your performance when you cross that finish line.

GOOOOOOOO FALLS!

A post about last weekend’s race in Rhinelander.

Two things…

First: results

Congratulations to Hazel and Hannah. Hazel rounded out the top twenty in D2 Freshman Girls and Hannah got another top ten finishing ninth in D2 JVII Girls.

As a team we finished twenty-third of seventy-five D2 high school teams. Scoring team points were Hazel (Frsh Girls), Hannah (JVII Girls), Sam (V Boys), and Braden (V Boys).

Kudos to all of our student athletes on competing and finishing a course that is much more difficult than it appears on the surface; especially in the dusty, hot conditions.

Second: This weekend’s picture

This is a shot of Hannah and Hazel during pre-race warmup. This is a thanks to people who have purchased raffle tickets from our team. Some of the funds raised allowed us to purchase stationary trainers that enable us to have much more directed, efficient, and less stressful (keeps us from being too far away from staging) warmup sessions. Very much appreciated by the athletes and coaches.

Final race in just over a week!

We’re heading to the Northwoods to a venue just outside of Rhinelander this weekend. Another course that provides its own unique challenges.

Best of luck to our student athletes as they continue this season’s quest in race number four of five.

Follow up to our racing this past Sunday. The venue hosted over 1,000 student athletes with racing starting just after 8:00am and continuing through mid-afternoon.

All of our student athletes finished their races on the Englewood Epic course. Well done! This is a course that allows for very little, if any, recovery time and really challenges one’s endurance.

Congratulations to Hazel (Fr Girls) and Hannah (JVII Girls) on their 18th and 7th place finishes respectively.

As a team we placed 21st overall out of 78 Division 2 teams. Contributing to our team total were:
Hazel (Fr Girls)
Hannah (JVII Girls)
Braden (V Boys)
Sam (V Boys)

Quick turnaround this week and we’re off to Rhinelander this weekend for Hodag Hustle.

The Menomonee Falls High School/North Middle School had a great outing at yesterday’s NICA Wisconsin Interscholastic Cycling League Minooka Mania race. We had some first-time racers compete at the middle school level and conquer the challenge of mountain bike racing. Our returning student athletes continued to show their determination and improved upon previous results.

Scoring points toward team competition were Hazel (Freshman Girls), Hannah (JVII Girls), Ruth (JVIII Girls), and Sam ( V Boys). We placed 6th overall out of 43 teams in D2 High School.

Congratulations to all of our student athletes.
