Salt Plains Outfitters LLC was formed in 2015, based upon a passion for waterfowl hunting and a love for the outdoors.

We are located in Northern Oklahoma, near the historic Salt Plains National wildlife refuge. The refuge is known for its ability to winter tremendous numbers of ducks, geese, and sand hill cranes, and exceeds 400,000 birds during peak migration. With properties refuge-adjacent,

we are able identify flight patterns and feeding schedules, as well as hunt in a variety of waterfowl settings. During your stay, you may hunt in one of our dry fields, and then, the following day, find yourself shooting Mallards on the world famous Medicine Lodge River.
-
Waterfowl packages include lodging and fully guided hunts. Our capable guide staff is relentless in it's pursuit of the X, and Salt Plains Outfitters employs a full-time scouting team to consistently locate the high concentrations of fresh birds. We hunt over the best equipment the waterfowl industry has to offer and utilize spreads of 250 or more full body decoys when necessary. Our team is filled with hardworking and passionate individuals who are dedicated to providing you an unforgettable experience. Whether you're looking for mallards on sand bank rivers, Canada geese feet down over full bodies, or sand hill cranes impacting a cut cornfield, Salt Plains Outfitters is your escape.

As we have all seen this year. Our voices matter when it comes to conservation. And those same voices are what can make a bigger impact.

Whether you hunt ducks or not. Buy a stamp. You’re making an impact on the environment that is immeasurable. The federal duck stamp is a simple proven way to protect our wetlands, and ensure that our future generations can enjoy the same traditions we do now.

Happy national dog day to all of our 4 legged companions! Couldn’t do it without them.

Father and Son Traditions… 🦆🦆🦆

THEY’RE COMING FOR THE DUCK FACTORY.
Every mallard that drops into our timber, every pintail that circles a Kansas milo field, every greenhead we shoot on Salt Plains water. Most of them were hatched a thousand miles north, in the prairie potholes.

That country produces over half of North America’s ducks. And right now the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is reviewing a rule that keeps drain tile from pulling the water out from under wetlands hunters already paid to protect. Easements bought with Duck Stamp dollars, hunting licenses, and Pittman-Robertson funds. Sixty years of precedent under both parties. Some estimates put the loss at 20 to 50 percent of the region’s duck production if it goes.
We take habitat seriously on our own ground. We flood timber, manage water, put in food and cover, and hunt land with people who want to leave it better than they found it. But we can build the best wintering habitat in Oklahoma and Kansas and it won’t matter one bit if there’s nothing hatching up north to fill it.
You can’t stock a duck. No potholes, no ducks. No ducks, no season.
Take two minutes. Sign the petition and leave a comment. Personal ones carry the most weight. Deadline is TONIGHT, 11:59 EDT.
