Anthon Golf Course accomplishments in 2014
• Significant soybean income thanks to 100% volunteer labor and equipment and donated inputs
• Positive cash flow 2 years in a row with all bills paid and no 2015 membership income included
• Numerous successful tournaments and continued record # of Anthon Open sponsorships paid
• Golf course was well maintained and in excellent condition the entire season
• Thorough cleaning and repainting of Clubhouse interior and new blinds installed
• New Air Conditioning Unit installed
• New sewer line from Clubhouse east to septic tank
• New Concrete slab east of the clubhouse. Added landscaping around flag pole and a fire pit.
• New rental cart lease from Speeds. 2012 Club Cars for the same price we were paying for much older carts.
• Applied manure on the crop ground last Fall
• 8 board members with monthly board meetings (one board member position needs to be filled tonight)
• Cindy March from Platinum Grain hired as treasurer and accounting support for 2015.
• Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and Soup Supper fundraisers
• Purchased pizza slice warmer to expand food menu
Proposed projects and discussion items
• Remove dead and dying trees and shave all stumps flush with the ground prior to Spring
• Reseal exterior foundation and fix door jams to prevent water from getting into the Clubhouse
• New carpet and linoleum for the entire clubhouse once water issue is fixed
o Carpet in dining area and linoleum in bar, kitchen, bathrooms and bathroom hallway
• Move big Clubhouse propane tank 50 feet northwest to meet insurance requirements
• Replace asphalt South of Clubhouse and add white rock in the parking lot
• Plant several new trees.
• Rebuild the bank behind hole 4 to protect the green.
• Vision for the pond. Consider digging it out and making it a rock bed??
• Negotiate with Pepsi for new beverage coolers. Replace bar cooler under the counter.
• Review credit card machine agreement to reduce fees and enable tips
• Proposal to leave membership dues unchanged (has been several years since we have increased dues)
• Review all other prices prior to opening in April.
• Expected lower crop income due to lower corn and soybean prices
• Woodbury County Cattleman Tournament will be in Anthon this year
