Losing weight can be very difficult for many. The long term commitment, sacrifice, time, etc. make losing weight and keeping it off very hard, but the key to being successful in your weight loss journey is to do a lot of small things everyday, not just one giant thing at once.

For example working to start incorporating more fruits, veggies, and protein throughout your daily diet rather than completely cutting out sweets cold turkey is a much more sustainable way to lose weight. Trying to get 30 mins of any type of exercise(workout, walk, jog, sports, etc.) rather than trying to burn a certain amount of calories would be more sustainable for most individuals. Once these little things become a part of your daily life, it becomes natural and easy to achieve without having to think about it, and the bad habits turn into good ones!

Have you ever wondered how long you should rest between sets of a given activity? Well here’s a little breakdown of the 3 bioenergetic systems of the body and there associated rest intervals based on SCIENCE! It is very important that when doing specific activities, you are giving your body adequate time to recover before doing that activity again in order to complete the given task with optimal efficiency. If you don’t give a specific system enough time to recover, you are more likely to fatigue faster. Next time you go workout or go for a run, keep these rest intervals in mind to optimize your performance!
