📚 2026 Juneteenth Educational Field Trip | 07/02/26

🚌 The City of Anniston, Alabama, invites youth in grades 6–12 to take part in our 2026 Juneteenth Educational Field Trip to Atlanta, Georgia, on Thursday, July 2, 2026.

Participants will tour Spelman College and Morehouse College, and visit the APEX Museum for a meaningful day focused on higher education opportunities!

ℹ️ The group will depart from the City Meeting Center at 7:00 AM and return by approximately 5:00 PM. The cost is $15 per child, and space is limited to 45 youth participants. Seats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

ℹ️ Community members, businesses, churches, and organizations are also welcome to the cost of a youth participant to help make this opportunity available to more students!

: Service Update | Cane Creek Golf & Lake Yahou | Reopen: June 3, 2026

ℹ️ The City of Anniston, Alabama, is pleased to announce that Cane Creek Golf Course and Yahou Lake are now open to the public.

Cleanup efforts following the recent storm have been completed, and downed trees and storm-related debris have been safely cleared from the area. Visitors may now resume normal use of both facilities.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding while crews worked to restore these amenities and ensure the safety of all visitors.
