Has it really been a week since the Annapolis Ten Mile Run Expo?!? Here are some shots of the fun last Saturday at Navy–Marine Corps Memorial Stadium! Huge thank-you to our many volunteers and to our awesome vendors & exhibitors.

'Tis a mere month to Metric! Join us on Sunday, October 4th for our 26.2-kilometer (16.28-mile) Annapolis Striders Metric Marathon at Southern High School in Harwood. At just $10 in advance for Striders members & $15 for non-members, that works out to just 61¢ or 92¢ per mile-- an absolute steal for an organized & supported road race! Heads up: Monday (8/31) is the last day to take advantage of our special extra-low early-bird entry fees for the November 14th Rosaryville Veterans Day Trail Race 50K & 20K! Even after the fees go up on Tuesday, the RVD event is still one of the best bargains on the mid-Atlantic trail running scene. Thank you so much to everyone who took part in this morning's 51st Annual Annapolis Ten Mile Run! This is a true community event, and it would not be possible without the hundreds of volunteers and first responders you encountered this morning, nor without the support of the city, county, state, Navy, and area organizations & residents. And congratulations to our 3,447 finishers, led by Nicolas Crouzier (52:16) and Cindy Anderson (1:01:06). The A-10 is never easy, so wear your finisher premium with pride! Sunday is RACE DAY!! Remember, our start time is 7:00 AM sharp, with packet pick-up & late registration from 5:30 to 6:45. There WILL be backups getting to our parking entrances off of Cedar Park Road, so you'll want to allow yourself extra time in the morning. If you still need to pick up your number, don't forget your photo ID! Lots more A-10 info, including links to get our A-10 Live Tracking app, can be found at RunSignup.com/A10 and in the e-mails sent to registrants this week. Get some rest, and we'll see you bright and early!

We're all focused on the A-10 right now, but let's not forget about our three remaining Annapolis Striders Championship Series races this fall: The 26.2-kilometer Metric Marathon (16.28 miles) on 10/4, the Downs Park 5 Miler on 11/7, and the Anniversary Run 15K on 12/13! Entry is already open for the first two, and each is only $10 in advance for Striders members and $15 for non-members. Registration for the Anniversary Run, which is FREE for club members, will open soon. See the comments for each race's sign-up link! ⬇️ (We also need volunteers for all of these races!)

In all the excitement for this weekend's A-10, let's not forget that our new Trail Training Program, FREE for Annapolis Striders members, begins next week! This ten-week training plan will help you prepare for November 14th's Rosaryville Veterans Day Trail Race 50K & 20K, and it offers group trail runs on Thursday evenings and Sunday mornings at Bacon Ridge Natural Area in Crownsville.
