After careful consideration the Northern Virginia Wrestling Federation (NVWF) Executive Board has decided that we are going to cancel the FY 2021 wrestling season. Given the NVWF current operational structure it would be very challenging for clubs to execute a productive season.

Hey Mat Rats. To update you all... the wrestling season is still on hold. FCPS has not granted access to use the mat room at Annandale HS. NVWF has not agreed upon a season either. Please stay safe and healthy during this time. We will update you if anything changes.

The entire sporting community is attempting to conduct planning exercises to meet the needs of families, athletes, and interested participants related to sports programs for its members and those interested. Your participation in this short survey would be very much appreciated whether or not you are planning to participate in youth sports activities. Your feedback will help us plan appropriately based in the number of persons expressing interests in participating in whole or in part.

We tried to do this with our League Athletics but it appeared confusing to some. Therefore we decided to try a new method. Please compete it again if you had done it once already.

If you don't have a child in the program, you won't have to compete this particular survey, however, there may be another one for coaches/managers separately.

Annandale Mat Rats Wrestling

REGISTRATION INFORMATION:

The youth wrestling program is for ages 6-14 and will begin in November and run through February (occasionally into the first week of March). Born between: 01/01/2005 and 12/31/2014.

Registration will close on November 25, 2018 (any late registration after will need approval from the head coach).
Players will need to be registered PRIOR TO November 25th with the wrestling federation or will pay a $50 late fee to the ABGC.

The online registration fee is $115. Note: This fee will be distributed to the NVWF as part of that registration.
Scholarship players (see explanation below) are required to pay a $40 fee.

Wrestling Orientation for Parents & Wrestlers will occur on November 4th at Annandale High School's Wrestling Room.

To REGISTER:

STEP 1:
Visit and register your wrestler at the Annandale Boys & Girls Club registration website

In addition to registering with ABGC, all wrestlers must complete the Northern Virginia Wrestling Federation registration in order to complete in tournaments:

STEP 2:
You will also need to create a USA wrestling account (it's free).

STEP 3:
Once that is done, you will need to register your child with the NVWF in order to wrestle in the tournaments. If your child is not registered prior to November 25th with the Federation, you will have to pay a $50.00 late fee to the Annandale Boy Girl Club.

Note: The $115 fee paid during the ABGC registration will be applied directly to the NVWF registration. YOU WILL NOT NEED TO PAY NVWF DIRECTLY.
