Powerful Pitching Performance From Hannan Carries Anna-Jonesboro Varsity Wildcats Past Century Varsity Centurion

Tyler Hannan struck out 11 batters as the pitcher led Anna-Jonesboro Varsity Wildcats past Century Varsity Centurion 6-3 on Thursday at Century Junior/Senior High School. Tyler Hannan gave up five hits and three runs over five innings while walking two.

Henry Hoehner collected three hits in three at bats in the win. Henry Hoehner singled in the first inning, doubled in the seventh inning, and doubled in the fifth inning.

Anna-Jonesboro Varsity Wildcats opened the scoring in the top of the first thanks to two singles. Anna-Jonesboro Varsity Wildcats first got on the board when Xavier Richardson singled, scoring one run.

Century Varsity Centurion tied the game up in the bottom of the first thanks to two doubles. Century Varsity Centurion tied the game at three on a double by Jackson McHughs.

An error gave Anna-Jonesboro Varsity Wildcats the lead, 4-3, in the top of the fourth.

Jackson McHughs took the loss for Century Varsity Centurion. The pitcher went three innings, allowing one run (zero earned) on one hit, striking out five and walking one. Adam Taake opened the game for Century Varsity Centurion. The starting pitcher gave up five hits and three runs over three innings, striking out four and walking two. Tytan Smith collected the save.

Anna-Jonesboro Varsity Wildcats collected nine hits in the game. Xavier Richardson and Jeffrey Campbell each collected multiple hits for Anna-Jonesboro Varsity Wildcats. Anna-Jonesboro Varsity Wildcats didn't commit a single error in the field. Jeffrey Campbell had the most chances in the field with 13.

Jackson McHughs provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Century Varsity Centurion with two runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 1-for-2 on the day. August Levins, Hunter Lasley, Jackson McHughs, Bryce Windings, and Adam Taake each collected one hit for Century Varsity Centurion.

Anna-Jonesboro Varsity Wildcats Claim Victory Over Carbondale

Anna-Jonesboro Varsity Wildcats took down Carbondale 8-4 on Wednesday at TBD.

Anna-Jonesboro Varsity Wildcats opened the scoring in the first after Tyler Hannan singled, scoring one run.

Daly singled to center field, which helped Carbondale tie the game at one in the bottom of the first.

In the top of the third, Anna-Jonesboro Varsity Wildcats broke up the tie when Hannan singled, scoring two runs. Then a sacrifice fly by Xavier Richardson followed to extend the lead to 4-1.

Carbondale tied the game in the bottom of the fourth thanks to a walk by Mowery, a single by Mckinnies, and a double by Karayians.

Anna-Jonesboro Varsity Wildcats made the score 8-4 in the top of the fifth after Henry Hoehner singled, scoring one run, Caden Cerney singled, scoring one run, and Owen Pickel grounded out, scoring two runs.

Richardson earned the win for Anna-Jonesboro Varsity Wildcats. The pitcher gave up one hit and zero runs over three innings, striking out five and walking none. Daly took the loss for Carbondale. The starting pitcher went four innings, surrendering six runs (five earned) on four hits, striking out five and walking one. Jeffrey Campbell started on the mound for Anna-Jonesboro Varsity Wildcats. The starter surrendered two hits and one run over three innings, striking out three and walking one. Landon Boyd appeared in relief for Anna-Jonesboro Varsity Wildcats.

Hannan drove the middle of the lineup, leading Anna-Jonesboro Varsity Wildcats with three runs batted in. The outfielder went 2-for-4 on the day. Hannan stole two bases. Anna-Jonesboro Varsity Wildcats were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Campbell made the most plays with seven.

Karayians led Carbondale with two hits in three at bats. Dai stole two bases. Carbondale stole four bases in the game. Carbondale turned one double play in the game.

Anna-Jonesboro Junior Varsity Wildcats Defeat Harrisburg On Multiple Hit Performance By Spurlock

Zach Spurlock collected three hits in four at bats, as Anna-Jonesboro Junior Varsity Wildcats defeated Harrisburg 7-2 on Monday. Zach Spurlock singled in the eighth inning, singled in the sixth inning, and singled in the second inning.

A single by Davidson put Harrisburg on the board in the bottom of the first.

Harrisburg added one run in the second after Jarret Jones singled down the left field line.

Anna-Jonesboro Junior Varsity Wildcats tied the game in the top of the sixth thanks to a ground out by Wyatt Baker, and a single by Zach Spurlock.

Anna-Jonesboro Junior Varsity Wildcats flipped the game on its head in the top of the eighth, scoring five runs on six hits to take the lead, 7-2. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Zach Spurlock that drove in two.

David Craig earned the win for Anna-Jonesboro Junior Varsity Wildcats. The reliever gave up one hit and zero runs over one and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking none. Luke Allen took the loss for Harrisburg. The pitcher went seven innings, surrendering four runs on five hits, striking out five and walking two. Caden Gurley stepped on the hill first for Anna-Jonesboro Junior Varsity Wildcats. The pitcher surrendered three hits and two runs (one earned) over six innings, striking out six and walking three. Eli Newman appeared in relief for Anna-Jonesboro Junior Varsity Wildcats.

Anna-Jonesboro Junior Varsity Wildcats tallied 10 hits in the game. Ian Sullivan and David Craig each collected multiple hits for Anna-Jonesboro Junior Varsity Wildcats.

Jacob Atkinson and Davidson each collected two hits for Harrisburg. Jarret Jones and Davidson each drove in one run for Harrisburg. Harrisburg turned three double plays in the game.

Anna-Jonesboro Junior Varsity Wildcats will travel to Herrin Tigers JV for their next game on Thursday.
