Your purpose doesn’t begin when you say “I do.” God has given you gifts, ideas, and a calling that matter right now.

You can desire marriage and still live fully in this season. Keep healing. Keep growing. Serve where you are, and take the next step toward what God has placed on your heart.

Marriage takes two people who are willing to listen, communicate honestly, take responsibility, and make changes—not just promises.

One person cannot carry the entire relationship alone. Both must be willing to show up, especially when things are difficult.

A healthy marriage doesn’t happen by accident. It grows through mutual effort, respect, grace, and the daily decision to care for each other.

Love is more than saying, “I do.” It is continuing to live those words through your actions.

More than a year ago, I was driving when the Holy Spirit placed these words in my heart:

“Write a book called Single and Blessed.”

I found a pen and wrote it down because I did not want to forget. From that day forward, the message would not leave my heart.

This book is for anyone who has ever felt forgotten, ashamed, pressured, or incomplete because of their relationship status.

You are not behind.
You are not forgotten.
And you are not cursed.

Don’t wait until life falls apart to appreciate the people who genuinely love you.

When things are going well, it’s easy to overlook those who consistently show up for us while giving our time and attention to others. But when those others leave, we turn to the very people we barely acknowledged, trusting they will be there.

They deserve to feel valued in your good seasons, too. Call them. Make time for them. Show them that they matter before you need their comfort or support.

Whether it’s marriage, family, or friendship, love needs to be returned and nurtured. 🙏🏾❤️

If you want a different result, you must follow a different standard.

Modern dating often focuses on feelings, physical attraction, and instant gratification. But God’s standard for love, relationships, and intimacy has not changed—even when the culture has.

Before choosing someone, ask yourself:

Do they genuinely pursue God—or merely tolerate Him because of me?
Can we pray together—not just play together?
Do they respect my boundaries—or constantly pressure me to compromise?

Marriage will not create spiritual alignment where it does not already exist. Don’t settle for chemistry and compatibility alone. Choose someone whose faith, values, and vision agree with yours.

Covenant is not about finding someone perfect. It is about finding someone who is pursuing Christ just as sincerely as you are.

Before you step into new love, you must first make peace with your old wounds.

Many singles do not struggle because they are unlovable—they struggle because they are emotionally and spiritually unavailable. Their hearts may still be tied to people, pain, places, and memories from relationships that have ended.

They carry invisible scars from rejection, betrayal, abandonment, and disappointment. Without realizing it, they bring those unhealed wounds into every new connection.

Healing does not mean pretending the past never happened. It means allowing God to restore your heart so that your past no longer controls your present or sabotages your future.

Before asking God for someone new, allow Him to heal what is still hurting within you. New love deserves a healed heart—and so do you.

Healthy marriages need regular checkups—not just emergency repairs.

Take a moment to ask your spouse:

👉🏽What feels strong between us?

👉🏽What feels strained?

👉🏽What do you need more of from me?

Then listen without interrupting, becoming defensive, or trying to prove your point. Listen to understand your spouse’s heart.

Small, honest conversations today can prevent greater emotional distance tomorrow.

A strong marriage is not a marriage without problems. It is a marriage where both people are willing to recognize the problems and work through them together.
